Does it cost anything to sell?
No. Getting offers is free, listing your car is free, and sellers never pay Car Central a fee.
What's the difference between getting offers and listing it myself?
With offers, you tell us about your car once and buyers contact you with a price. It's the fastest way to sell. When you list it yourself, shoppers browsing BuyCarCentral see your car and message you, and you choose the price and the buyer. You can do both.
Who sees my name and phone number?
When you list it yourself, nobody does. Buyers message you through Car Central and your details stay private until you reply. When you ask for offers, the buyer who contacts you has your number. If you tick the optional box, other licensed dealers on Car Central may contact you too. Your information is never sold and never posted publicly.
What if I still owe money on the car?
Say so when you tell us about it. Buyers will want to know, and the payoff with your lender becomes part of the sale paperwork. It doesn't stop you from selling.
Is a private listing safe?
Every listing is reviewed before it goes live, and buyers message you through Car Central instead of getting your details. When you meet, do it in a public place, and don't hand over the car or the title until you've been paid in a way you trust. Car Central isn't part of the sale for private listings.
